My mouse is not detected
Connect through the 2.4GHz USB dongle or a USB cable. Bluetooth does not expose the control protocol on macOS, so a mouse paired over Bluetooth will show as "No Device Connected". Also make sure the mouse is one of the supported models: Basilisk V3, Basilisk V3 Pro, Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed.
Where is the app? I see no window
RBv3X is a menu bar app — look for the mouse icon in the macOS menu bar (top right). Click it to open the control popover. Right-click the icon for About and Quit.
RGB looks dim or "not working"
Check the brightness slider in the RGB tab — it drives the hardware LED brightness (0–100%). Effects like Breathe and Random pulse the diode, so the light periodically dims by design.
Do button mappings work without the app?
Yes. Mappings are written to the mouse's onboard memory, so they keep working when the app is closed — and even on another computer.
Does RBv3X conflict with Razer Synapse?
RBv3X replaces the need for Synapse on macOS. If you use Synapse elsewhere, the last tool that writes to the mouse wins — the settings live in the mouse itself.
Restoring defaults
DPI: use factory presets per stage in the DPI tab. Buttons: select the button and choose its original action (e.g. Forward → Forward). Lighting: pick Static and your color of choice.
